Alright, let me just start by saying this: if you're a Marvel fan, you're about to get spoiled. But hey, that's the nature of the game. So, at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, remember that heart-wrenching moment when Tom Holland's Spider-Man turned to dust thanks to Josh Brolin's Thanos? Well, with the release of the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, we now have the confirmation that our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back. Honestly, was anyone really surprised?
What's in Store for Spider-Man?
Sony Pictures has given us a little teaser about what to expect in Spider-Man: Far From Home. It’s the next thrilling chapter in the Spider-Man: Homecoming series. This time around, Peter Parker decides to take a break from all the superhero action and joins his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang for a much-needed European vacation. But, as you might have guessed, Peter's plans for a relaxing break are short-lived. Nick Fury comes knocking, asking for Peter's help to investigate a series of mysterious elemental creature attacks that are causing chaos across Europe. Looks like our web-slinger can't catch a break!
The Return of Nick Fury
Now, here's the thing: we saw Nick Fury turn to dust at the end of the Avengers movie too. Yet, here he is, back in action. It’s got everyone scratching their heads. There’s been some chatter suggesting that this movie might actually be a prequel to Avengers: Endgame, which comes out in May. But given that Endgame hits theaters on April 26 and Far From Home arrives on July 5, it seems more likely that this takes place after the events of Endgame. Plus, both films will follow Captain Marvel, which is set in the '90s, so it all fits together like a Marvel puzzle.

Who's Returning to the Spider-Man Franchise?
The cast of the new Spider-Man film is just as star-studded as you'd expect. Samuel L. Jackson is back as Nick Fury, alongside Cobie Smulders as his former spy and current associate, Maria Hill. Jon Favreau reprises his role as "Happy" Hogan, who's keeping an eye on Peter Parker while also working with Tony Stark. Jacob Batalon is back as Peter's best friend, Ned, and Zendaya returns as Michelle "MJ" Jones, who might have more than just a friendly relationship with Peter if the trailer is any indication. Marisa Tomei is once again Aunt May Parker, and Jake Gyllenhaal joins the cast as Quentin Beck/Mysterio, an expert on the Elementals who Fury brings in to help with the situation.
Let me tell you, the anticipation for this movie is through the roof. We can barely contain our excitement!
