TV personality Maria Menounos is glowing with reasons to celebrate as she embarks on a new chapter of her life. On New Year’s Eve, the SiriusXM Radio host marked her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Keven Undergaro. Not only has she celebrated a year of love and partnership, but she and her mother, Litsa Menounos, have also triumphed over their battles with brain tumors. Now, they’re both looking forward to healthier and brighter years ahead.
“I’ve come to realize that my health has to be my top priority, and life truly is short,” Maria, now 40, exclusively shared with Closer Weekly in their latest issue, currently available on newsstands. “So many aspects of my life have shifted, especially my perspective on what I will and won’t do. I’m passionate about pursuing the things that genuinely excite me.” High on her list? Motherhood. Maria revealed, “This is definitely the year that Keven and I will start a family.”

Twins? Why Not!
Maria joked about the possibility of jumping straight into twin territory. “We kind of want to have twins and just get it over with,” she laughed, though she added with a wink, “but we’ll see.” Beyond the humor, Maria also shared some heartwarming updates about her mom, who is now “doing amazing, thank God,” and her own health, which she described as “great.” Her attitude has shifted as well. “I’m making a conscious effort to savor time with friends and family more,” she shared. “I used to be so focused on my career. It’s such a big deal to step away from the phone. Now, every single day feels like a blessing.”
Putting It All Into Perspective
In the past, Maria has openly discussed how battling a brain tumor changed her outlook on life. “Would you believe me if I told you that the brain tumor was the best thing that ever happened to me?” she reflected in a previous interview with Women’s Health. “It freed me from all that anxiety about needing to be perfect. You simply can’t control everything. Let it go, leave it to God, and just embrace your journey.”
