Let’s talk about Kelly Ripa, shall we? The name is synonymous with charisma, charm, and a body that many would envy. It’s no secret that Kelly's got one of the most enviable physiques in the biz. Now, while fitness plays a massive role in her life, Kelly has been candid about her body type being naturally slender. But it wasn’t until a cardiologist stepped in that she truly understood the importance of exercise.
As Kelly confessed to The Cut, “The more you exercise, the healthier it is.” She added with refreshing honesty, “My body looks like Peter Pan no matter what I do. I’ve never been a va-va-voom kind of woman.” Despite her petite frame, Kelly has faced her fair share of body shamers on social media, especially at the age of 48. Yet, she carries herself with grace, shrugging off negativity and focusing on her well-being.

Kelly's Workout Regimen: The Secret to Her Energy
But let’s dive deeper into her fitness routine. Kelly's workout schedule is nothing short of impressive. She’s a fan of AKT, which are cardio-based dance classes, attending them around four to five days a week between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. When the weekend rolls around, she swaps these classes for SoulCycle, a favorite among celebs. And come summer, Central Park becomes her personal running track. “I like to run there because it’s so gorgeous,” she gushes.
With such a packed schedule, it’s no surprise that Kelly relies on caffeine to keep her energy levels high. “I wake up around 5:30 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. in the morning,” she shares candidly. “I make a Bullet Coffee at home in the morning. I have a Starbucks latte when I get to Live!. Then I will have a half a coffee after the show wraps. I have a great energy level. I don’t nap, and I fear that if I did nap it would probably make me stay awake all night.”
Family Time: Balancing Career and Home
But amidst hosting Live! and hitting the gym, Kelly always finds time to relax with her family. The New Jersey native admits that her schedule has eased up now that her children, Michael, 21, Lola, 17, and Joaquin, 15, are older. “I make dinner or we order in, depending on the night of the week. Joaquin is the last to eat so I’m reheating his dinner,” she explains. “Lately, we’ve had this bizarre routine of watching Hoarders. It used to be on A&E but the kids found it on Netflix. They’ll climb into bed with me and we watch a couple episodes.” How adorable is that?

Weekends are all about Mark Consuelos, her husband. “If he is [home], I tend to stay in bed longer,” she reveals. “I make a nice big breakfast. We have stuff we don’t normally eat — pancakes, bagels, that kind of stuff. If Mark isn’t home, I tend to go to exercise class in the morning before the kids get up and then spend the day trying to declutter.” It’s clear that Kelly’s dedication to her family and fitness is something we can all admire.
