Starting a new job can be daunting for anyone, but not for Carrie Ann Inaba. Known for her vibrant personality and sharp wit, Carrie Ann has become a household name in Hollywood. From her dazzling performances on Dancing with the Stars to her latest venture as a co-host on The Talk, she’s proving that she’s more than ready for this next chapter. After wrapping up her first week on the popular daytime show, Carrie Ann sat down with NewsChannel 5 on Monday, January 7, to share her excitement about her new role.
“The discussions we have around the table are so genuine and packed with depth and diverse perspectives,” said Carrie Ann, 51, during an interview with her co-host and The Talk creator, Sara Gilbert. “I’m genuinely enjoying the experience. It’s refreshing to engage in meaningful conversations, and I believe it’s crucial for us to learn how to communicate better as a society.” Carrie Ann’s enthusiasm is infectious, and she’s bringing that same energy to the table with her new co-hosts.

Why Carrie Ann Fits Right In
Carrie Ann isn’t just blending in with her new team—she’s thriving. In the same interview, she opened up about how her fellow co-hosts have made her transition seamless. “These women are incredible. I’m learning so much from them, and the variety of opinions is what makes this show so special,” she gushed. “They’re strong, intelligent, and empowering, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
Sara Gilbert’s Take on Carrie Ann’s Impact
Sara Gilbert, 43, couldn’t be more thrilled with her new co-worker. “Carrie Ann is not only authentic but also brings a unique perspective to the table,” Sara shared. “She feels like a long-lost friend who’s finally found her way back to us.” Sara went on to explain how Carrie Ann’s presence has elevated the show. “There’s something magical about our group dynamic. When the right person joins, it just clicks. Carrie Ann is that person, and we couldn’t be happier to have her.”
When the news broke on December 6 that Carrie Ann would be replacing Julie Chen, some Dancing with the Stars fans were concerned that she might step away from the show. However, Carrie Ann quickly put those fears to rest, explaining how she plans to balance her responsibilities between the two shows.

Managing Two Major Roles
Carrie Ann assured fans that she can handle both shows effortlessly. “Dancing with the Stars isn’t airing a spring series this year, so they’ll only return in the fall,” she explained. “For DWTS, I only need to show up on the day of the show, and since I’m just there to judge, I don’t have to prepare extensively. I can walk straight in with the same makeup from The Talk and keep my day going.” Carrie Ann and Sara couldn’t help but laugh about the practicality of it all.
We couldn’t be more excited for Carrie Ann’s journey on The Talk. Her charisma, intelligence, and warmth make her the perfect addition to the show, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the table in the weeks and months ahead.
